Legal
Privacy Policy
How Mais Cher Consulting, LLC collects, uses and protects information you share through this website.
Mais Cher Consulting, LLC (“Mais Cher Consulting,” “we,” “us” or “our”) operates maischerconsulting.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you visit this site or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language rather than legal boilerplate, because a privacy policy nobody can read protects nobody.
Information you give us
The contact form on this site asks for your name, email address, company name, the service you are interested in, and whatever you choose to write in the message field. You control all of it. Nothing on this site requires you to create an account, and we do not ask for payment details through the website.
If you email or call us directly, we retain that correspondence so we can respond and maintain a record of our conversations with you.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, logs standard technical information for every visitor: IP address, browser type, device type, referring page and the pages viewed. This is used for security, abuse prevention and basic performance monitoring. We do not use this data to build advertising profiles.
This site stores one small preference in your browser: whether you have chosen light or dark mode. It lives in your browser’s local storage, never leaves your device, and can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels or third-party analytics on this site.
How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and schedule a consultation
- To deliver the services you engage us to provide
- To send you information you have specifically requested
- To keep records required for tax, accounting and legal compliance
- To protect the security and integrity of this website
We do not send marketing email to people who have not asked for it, and we do not add contact form submissions to a mailing list.
Who else touches your information
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Ever. A small number of service providers process information on our behalf in order to make the site and our business function:
- Formspree receives contact form submissions and forwards them to our inbox.
- Cloudflare provides hosting, domain services and email forwarding for our business address.
- Google provides the email service where our business correspondence is stored.
Each of these providers maintains its own privacy practices. We may also disclose information where required by law, court order or valid government request, or where necessary to establish or defend legal claims.
Confidentiality of client information
Information you share with us during an engagement — operational data, financial figures, personnel matters, proposal content, internal documents — is treated as confidential and is not disclosed to third parties without your written permission. This obligation continues after an engagement ends. Where we describe past work publicly, we do so in general terms without identifying clients unless they have agreed to be named.
How long we keep information
Contact form submissions that do not lead to an engagement are retained for up to two years. Records related to active or completed client engagements are retained for seven years, consistent with standard business and tax record requirements. You may ask us to delete your information sooner, and we will honor that request except where we are legally required to keep it.
Your choices and rights
You may contact us at any time to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Request a correction to inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your information
- Ask us to stop contacting you
Texas residents have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, and residents of other states may have comparable rights under their own laws. We extend these rights to everyone who contacts us regardless of where they live, because drawing distinctions would be more trouble than simply doing the right thing. Email info@maischerconsulting.com and we will respond within thirty days.
Security
This site is served exclusively over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Our email accounts are protected with two-factor authentication. That said, no method of transmitting information over the internet is perfectly secure, and we encourage you not to send sensitive material such as account numbers or identification documents through the website contact form. We will tell you the appropriate secure channel once an engagement begins.
Children
This site is intended for business audiences and is not directed to anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes will be noted clearly on this page.
